The Brown is DOWN!!!!

October has been crazy for Jer between traveling for work and training for his triathlon. We can now scratch hunting off of the list of things to do! Jers hunt opened on Saturday and he and his brothers headed up at the crack of dawn to see if they could get one. Unfortunately they had so much fog that they could barley see in front of them let alone find a deer to shoot. So yesterday Jer headed up the mountain by himself(much to the dismay of his nagging wife), and shot this 2 point. He had hiked in about three miles and had to drag the thing back out all by himself (I'd like to say I told you so, but i felt bad for him..he was toast when he got home.) He vowed he would never hunt again, I told him he just needed to never hunt again....alone!! But we have lots of meat if anyone is looking for a good deer steak!?! The boys were mesmerized by the deer head!

The boys could not stop touching it and are already talking about when they get to go hunting!

Conference Weekend!

We had a great conference weekend last week. It was very relaxing and turned out to be a beautiful weekend! I for one will not complain about the nice weather! On Sunday in between the sessions we went for a little hike up North Canyon. The boys did great and had fun looking for things to make a "craft" with to keep them occupied during the second session (no it didn't help keep their attention but it was worth a shot!)
What a handsome bruit!
Love this picture!

When we got to the top the boys wanted to try and help Jer spot some deer!

My Soccer Players!

Now that the soccer season is almost over I am finally getting around to blogging about it!! Cole and Tate played again this year. Coles age group is actually getting fun to watch. They have positions and pass... its not the bunch ball that Tates still is. Oh well I guess that it only gets better from here(until Carter starts!). I was a little worried for Tate last year cause he could have cared less about soccer but he has really surprised me this year and is a pretty good little player. I think it helps that he has a few of his friends on the team and loves going to the games. They each have one more game left and then life can return to normal and not revolve around soccer! Tater Tot!

Cole playing, he really seemed to enjoy defense!

FHE up the "B"!

Last night for family home evening we headed up the B for tinfoil dinners and fun. We went with another family in our ward and our kids absolutely loved it! It makes me sad to think that the weather is getting colder and that it is getting dark so fast! well just have to enjoy it while it lasts! A rare shot of just Jer and I!
Lincoln and Tate...they both love the camera!?!

Labor Day Weekend!

We spent the weekend up at the cabin and had a great time. We spent Saturday on the lake, it was a little cold but you would never know with how much fun the kids had. Sunday was spent mulling around the cabin and mauling the neighbors chickens. Monday we came home so Jer could do a sprint triathlon at the rec center (he is training for an Olympic one the end of October). we then went up the canyon "FISHING" with our home made fishing poles, which translated into the older boys throwing a worm in then Carter chucking a rock before the worm hit the water. Needless to say we didn't catch much, luckily someone left one tied up to a tree so the boys felt like they got one. Plus they came home soaked and muddy, overall it was a great success!! I ran a few errands and when I came home Carter was out int he circle riding his big boy bike with no training wheels. Jer is really good to push our kids real young because if it were up to me Tate would still have training wheels. We had a great, busy weekend full of all sorts of adventures. It is going to be rough to get back to reality.

First Day!

Its been a wonderful summer and one day I'll get around to posting a summer recap, but alas school has started and ruined all the fun. I think I have rubbed off on Cole a little too much cause he was not excited for school! But he is slowly working up to it! Tate on the other hand has been SOOO ready. He finally had orientation on Thursday and was sad when he found out he didn't get to go by himself! He is just ready to be big! Me on the other hand....I'm struggling with my little men growing up. Its going to be very quiet around the house and it makes me sad to think how big they are getting! Carter thinks he is as big as Tate and should be in school with him, so well see how he adjusts these next few weeks! My three handsome men!
